Job Description Job Description NuCara Home Medical is seeking a full-time Service Technician for our Des Moines location. What We Do What we do matters, and our service team plays a key role in making our company successful. As a Service Technician, you will provide in-home repairs of medical equipment for our patients. You will learn how to operate, troubleshoot and repair a variety of medical equipment, including home oxygen, hospital beds, and wheelchairs. Our standard hours of operation are Monday Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Our patients sometimes have equipment needs outside of our regular business hours, and this position will participate in an on-call rotation, with some evening and weekend hours required. If you are new to Service Technology, Mechanical Technology and have a clean driving record and criminal history, are positive and upbeat, and are looking for an opportunity to enter the growing healthcare field this is a position you should definitely consider. Prior Service Technology, BioMed, Mechanical Technology experience, or home medical experience this position is for you, but not required - we're willing to train the right person. This position does require the problem-solving, mechanical knowledge, technical terminology, hydraulic knowledge, ability to lift, position and maneuver heavy loads from 50 to 150 lbs. and does require frequent squatting, bending and twisting. Candidates must be able to follow directions, be detail-oriented, and have basic competencies using a smartphone, iPad and desktop computer. Familiarity with Des Moines area and surrounding communities is a plus.
