Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift Description:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit East Tower, 4th Floor This dedicated
unit consists of 62 beds in 44 private patient rooms and is located
in the East Tower. Credentialed as a Level III NICU, practicing
highly technical, state-of-the-art care for high-risk premature
babies and full-term newborns in need of specialized care. Nurses
work with neonatologists, cardiologists, surgeons and other medical
specialties as a team approach to care and provide the best care
for infants. FUNCTIONAL ROLE RN III – senior: Practice is guided by
nursing process & policy / procedure / standards. Maintains focused
area of expertise for care / program & / or provides interventions
or knowledge within niche areas of care / program; Advances
professional / shared governance, collaborates inter &
intra-professionally, delegates to others to advance care, assumes
an expanded role & increased responsibility; Able to lead a small
team; Serve as a unit / service / program nursing practice mentor &
identify learning need of others. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Knows,

faithful to those we say we are. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Graduation
from an accredited school of nursing is required. Bachelor of
Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Current Iowa RN license
required. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within three (3)
months of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required
within three (3) months of hire. Proof of completion of Mandatory
Reporter for both Child and Dependent Adult Abuse training is
required within six (6) months of hire. Specialty practice
certification is preferred Must be comfortable operating in a
collaborative, shared leadership environment. Must possess a
