Weeks (03/16/2026 – 06/15/2026) Shift: Night Shift (Friday,
Saturday, Sunday) | 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 hrs/week) Job Summary
Seeking an experienced PICU RN to join their state-of-the-art,
12-bed private room facility. As a dedicated pediatric center, a
family-centered care philosophy. This role is ideal for a
high-acuity nurse who is comfortable working weekend nights and
possesses the flexibility to float to specialized areas like the
NICU or ED to support the hospital's mission of meeting children's
unique healthcare needs. Key Responsibilities - Critical Care
Intervention: Provide high-level care for critically ill or injured
infants, children, and adolescents in an intensive care setting. -
Specialized Floating: Must be willing to float to the NICU (to care
for "Feeders and Growers" and infants on oxygen/antibiotics) and
the Emergency Department for pediatric patient holds. - Technology
Utilization: Operate within a modern unit featuring ceiling-mounted
equipment booms and advanced monitoring systems designed for quick
response. - Multidisciplinary Advocacy: Collaborate closely with
Pediatric Intensivists and the Pediatric Transport Team to
implement and discuss care plans with families in the dedicated
Consultation Room. - Documentation: Utilize Epic EMR for all
clinical charting and medication administration. Requirements &
Qualifications - Experience: Minimum 24 months (2 years) of current
PICU experience is strictly required. - Licensure: Active Iowa
State RN License or a Multi-state Compact License required at time
of submission. - Certifications: - PALS (AHA) – Required. - BLS
(AHA or ARC) – Required. - ACLS (AHA or ARC) – Required. -
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Epic EMR is mandatory. Submission
& Orientation Details - Interview Process: Expect a quick
turnaround; interviews may come from a 405 area code via phone or
text. - Orientation Dates: 03/16 or 03/30 (16 hours of NBO). -
Local Policy: 50-mile radius rule applies. Financial & Schedule
Notes - Weekend Focus: Standard schedule is Friday/Saturday/Sunday
nights. - On-Call: No call requirements for this position. -
