Job Details - Location: Des Moines, IA (50309) — Des Moines healthcare / Iowa nursing jobs - Position: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN), Travel Nurse (Cardiac Cath Lab) - Setting: Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Cardiology - Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing job) - Start Date: April 6, 2026 - End Date: July 6, 2026 - Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 4x10 hour days (Monday–Friday, with a random day off each week) - Hours per Week: 40 - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,870–$3,020 per week - On-Call: 1 night per week & every 3rd weekend (Fri 7:30 PM – Mon 7:00 AM); occasional assigned weekend cases - Floating: Required across all Des Moines campuses to similar units Job Requirements - Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license (required at time of submission) — Registered Nurse (RN) - Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) experience (required) - Structural heart experience required (structural heart procedures) - Strong and experienced circulator (required); scrubbing experience highly preferred - Electrophysiology (EP) experience highly preferred - Previous travel nursing experience preferred (travel nurse / travel nursing jobs) - Ability and willingness to float between campuses as needed - Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC (required) - Professional references from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the last 24 months (preferred) - Valid driver’s license (required) - Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab (required) Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care for cardiac catheterization patients - Circulate and scrub for cardiac catheterization and structural heart procedures as an experienced Cath Lab RN - Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies per schedule (travel nurse on-call responsibilities) - Float to similar units across multiple Des Moines campuses as needed to support patient care - Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, EP teams, technicians, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes - Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR (electronic medical record) - Precept, mentor, and support new staff and travel nurses as needed This travel nursing opportunity is ideal for experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RNs seeking short-term work in Des Moines, Iowa.
