working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in
Des Moines, Iowa, 50309! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 24 months of medical
surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting
required; neuro/neurology care experience required;
ortho/orthopedic care experience required; trauma care experience
highly preferred. License: Active nursing license in Iowa or
compact/multistate license required. Certifications: BLS (AHA),
NIHSS preferred. Must-Have: - 24 months of current medical surgical
experience. - Neuro/neurology care experience. - Ortho/orthopedic
care experience. - Experience with trauma care is highly preferred.
- EPIC EMR experience. - Experience using and reading lift
equipment, telemetry, chest tubes, and airvo. - Experience
administering heparin and PCAs is required. - Experience
administering 3% sodium is preferred. Description: Quickly
interviewing viable candidates. Active participation in patient
care for post TNK, ortho, crani-neurosurgery, laminectomies, and
polytrauma patients. Will float across various medical surgical
units as needed. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:5-6. The unit has a
bed size of 25. May work with drips and titrations, including
heparin gtts and PCAs. Experience with lift equipment, telemetry,
chest tubes, and airvo is required. Candidates must have a strong
background in administering heparin and PCAs. A professional
reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director,
CNO, or COO is preferred within the last 24 months. 5 Benefits of
