The Judge Group is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/30/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) | Scrub & Circulate Schedule & Shift Details Shift Type: Nights Shift Structure: 4x10-hour shifts (40 hours per week) Weekend & On-Call Requirements: TBD EMR System: Epic Job Description As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room , you will be a vital member of an interdisciplinary team, applying professional nursing knowledge and skills to manage and provide high-quality patient care . Responsibilities include: Scrubbing and circulating in various OR service lines Managing patient flow with less than 20-minute turnover expectations Working within Level I Trauma Center protocols Handling complex procedures and technologies , including: Da Vinci robotic surgeries Neuro navigation with Stealth technology Synthes & Stryker ortho trauma equipment Facility & OR Details Number of OR Suites: 16 (12-14 routinely operational) Average Caseload: 35-50 surgeries per day Specialties: Cardiac/PV Neuro Orthopedic Trauma Robotics General & Pediatric Surgery Urology & Gynecology Transplants Small volume of ENT & Plastic Surgery cases Weekend Call: Covers end of shift Friday – 6:30 AM Monday Requirements & Qualifications Experience: 2 years of current OR experience Scrub & Circulate experience required Strong ortho, neuro, trauma, and abdominal surgery experience Level I Trauma Center experience Licensure & Certifications: Iowa RN license or Compact RN license BLS (AHA required) COVID-19 Vaccination: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions available) Additional Notes Candidates with a home address within 60 miles of the facility will be billed at a rate 10% lower . Must be adaptable and able to function in a high-acuity surgical environment .
