Job Description:
Description In the role of -Lead Teacher -you will plan an
environment and activities designed to promote safety, nurturing
support, and appropriate development for children between the ages
of six weeks and six years in our childcare center. You will also
provide leadership and guidance for the classroom staff as part of
the Childcare Leadership Team. Classroom assignment is determined
based on the needs of the center and may change accordingly. -New
hires may be eligible for up to a $2,000 bonus in the first six
months of employment and an additional $1,000 every six months
after. -Schedule

- This role is full-time and eligible for health benefits,
retirement and a generous paid time off program that starts
accumulating immediately. Our staff are also eligible to
participate in the - -program which provides an additional stipend
to individuals working in eligible early care and educational
programs.What You'll Do
- Build a positive, trust-based relationship with each child and
their family by providing positive communication and body language
at all times.
- Supervise children carefully and consistently indoors and
outdoors. Ensure classroom ratio is maintained at all times.
- Prepare the indoor and outdoor environment with established
interest areas according to age-specific guidelines provided by
Creative Curriculum and ITERS/ECERS rating scales. Plan for
structured games and group activities outdoors.
- Promote social and emotional competency, self-confidence, and
resiliency by using an approved curriculum and effective role
modeling.
- Conduct weekly classroom team meetings to ensure all staff are
consistent in managing classroom studies, behaviors, and other
areas of need.What You'll Need
- Required: Four year degree in Early Childhood, Child
Development, Human Services or Education
- Preferred: Current certification in CPR, First Aid, Mandatory
Reporting, Universal Precautions, and Medication Administrator

- Minimum two years experience serving children required. A
supervised practicum may substitute for one year of
experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lead teams and promote the concept of team approach;
ability to hold people accountable and develop their abilities to
perform job responsibilities
- Ability to accurately document all observations, significant
events, and services rendered
- Ability to communicate in English effectively for
understanding, in writing and verballySchedule
