Behavioral Health for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa. Job

Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12
hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel We are actively seeking a
compassionate and experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse
(RN) for a night shift assignment in a psychiatric inpatient
setting. This role is ideal for a travel nurse with strong
behavioral health experience, including care across all age groups,
and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct and therapeutic care to
patients with behavioral health and psychiatric conditions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support treatment plans
Administer medications and monitor patient responses Implement
de-escalation techniques and safety protocols Accurately document
care activities, interventions, and patient progress
Qualifications: Active RN license (compact or IA state license)
Minimum 1.5 years of behavioral health/psych experience with adult
populations Experience caring for all age groups At least 1
completed travel contract required BLS certification MAB, MOAB, or
equivalent de-escalation certification/training required Shift
Details: Nights 36 hours/week Weekend Requirement: Usually every
other weekend or every 3rd, including holiday rotation Floating:
May be required to float to other units Travel Pay Package and
Details Weekly Stipend:$1400 ($38.88/hr) Weekly W2 Rate: $600
